Strategic combination creates specialised law firm for emerging technology sectors
22 APRIL 2025 — Celia Legal and Nakamoto Legal today announced their merger to form Moto Legal, a specialised global law firm focused on serving innovative companies in Web3, blockchain, fintech, AI, and emerging technologies. The newly formed firm will maintain offices in Dubai, Sydney, and Perth, positioning it strategically in key global innovation hubs to serve clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Moto Legal is co-founded by Chris Elias and Eli Bernstein, both former tech founders who transitioned to technology law. "By combining our teams, we're creating a firm that truly understands the unique challenges facing companies at the cutting edge of technology," said Elias. "Our experience as founders gives us insight into both the technical and business aspects of our clients' operations."
Bernstein added, "The regulatory landscape for emerging technologies is evolving rapidly across jurisdictions. Our goal is to help innovative companies navigate this complexity with confidence." The merged firm will offer comprehensive legal services tailored specifically for technology-focused businesses, including:
Regulatory guidance across financial services, securities, AML/CTF, and emerging technology frameworks
Strategic corporate structuring across multiple jurisdictions
Commercial contract drafting and ongoing advisory counsel
Fundraising strategy and documentation for various capital raising methods including SAFTs, SAFEs, token offerings, and venture financing
Data privacy compliance and intellectual property protection in open-source environments
The merger comes at a time when demand for specialised legal expertise in emerging technology sectors continues to grow globally, particularly in the areas of digital assets, blockchain infrastructure, and artificial intelligence applications.
